Hand Roll or Power Roll
One of the simplest and oldest tools for painters is the paint roller. The roller comes in many sizes including 4”, 9” and 18”. There are other various sizes depending on you locale or country. The paint roller is a simple tool to use and master and help speed up the painting process. I have many videos explaining some tips and tricks to rolling walls and getting professional results. I have been painting with various rollers now for over 25 years and have discovered the Power Roller many years ago.
The Power Roller, or inner feed roller, is a tool that hooks up to an airless paint sprayer that feeds paint to the tool which releases paint on demand using an inline gun. Paint is then fed to a perforated roller. These power rollers have been around for many years but I failed to try one out cause I thought the set up and tear down would not be worth the time savings.
I finally got the courage to try one out and to my suprise, the tool worked well and significantly decreased the time spent rolling walls. If I had to guess, I would say it cut the rolling process down by 50% if painting an entire house. The set up and tear down was easy enough that it would benefit to use the Inner Feed Roller if we painting two or more rooms. The roller can even have added extensions to reach ceilings and high walls. If you have never tried the Inner Feed Roller this is a tool to consider.
I have several videos demonstrating the use and reviewing the Titan model. I did test the Jet Roller from Graco and was not as impressed cause I did not like the overspray it produced.
