Can You Paint A House In A Day?
I have several videos showing the Paint Life Crew painting houses in one day including houses 3500 sqft and 5 colors. Can it truly be done? My painting company with a crew of 4 our more employees supervised by myself has regularly painted houses this fast for the last 20 years. With our single crew we have painted as many as 6 houses a week and even paint two house in one day. You can see this process in this video HERE.
We do get criticism saying “yeah with 7 guys” or “where is the prep ? Or even “blow and go” In the comment sections of our social media. So I will explain further so you have an understanding of this process. Our process of painting includes 1 day where we pressure wash the house with a two man crew. The pressure washing takes on average 2 hours per house. This includes travel, set up, and tear down. Typically our full crew comes back another day the same week to do the prep work.
The prep work can by a crew of 3 to 7 guys and on occasion we have had up to 10 employees. Our painting team fluctuates in size due to when college is in or out as we always have college workers that work with our four full time employees. The prep work on a house in our area will average about 4 hours per house. This may sound like not much time but the age and style of homes we specialize in fall in the category of little to moderate prep. We typically pressure wash and prep multiple houses at a time. The painting is then done on another day.
When we show up to paint the entire paint crews shows up for the process. What you see in our videos on social media including YouTube only shows the actual painting process. This is why I title it painting a house in a day. Other paint crews may have a different process but this is ours and what works for us. So we are strictly speaking of painting the house and not pressure washing or prepping it. Crew size always determines how fast you can paint.
We are never claiming you can do this in this time frame painting alone. Same goes for “Paint A Room in One Hour”. The video is not claiming an individual can paint in that time frame and you can clearly see how many painters are working in those videos. These videos are merely to show what can be accomplished when you have a motivated crew. Results will vary by crew size what what the crew has for goals. What we are sharing in these videos is the speed at which painting can actually happen for your entertainment or even inspiration and that's all.
